31 – 50 Miler Award. Recognizes those members who complete a trek of at least 50 miles over the course of 5 or more consecutive days on land or water, as well as completing a minimum of 10 hours of service during the trek. https://www.scouting.org/awards/awards-central/50-miler/

30 – Lord Robert Baden-Powell was the man who founded the Scout movement more than 100 years ago. A soldier, national hero, educator and prolific writer, Scouting is based on the ideas laid out in his best-selling book Scouting for Boys. https://www.scout.org/bp

29 – Camp NoBeBoSco. Has been a scout camp since 1927 when it was purchased by the trustees of the North Bergen Boy Scout Council. Electricity came to camp in 1945, and telephone in 1955. Camp NoBeBoSco is also immortalized in a famous film as Camp Crystal Lake. http://campnobebosco.org/

28 – William T. Hornaday Awards. Dr. Hornaday (director of the New York Zoological Park and founder of the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.) created these awards in 1914 to recognize those that have made significant contributions to conservation. 27 – Sea base badge. Sea Base is a unique Scouting High Adventure program that offers aquatics programs found nowhere else. https://www.bsaseabase.org/

26 – Wood Badge Logo. Wood Badge is Scouting’s premier adult leadership training course. Lord Baden-Powell directed the first course in 1919 so that Scouters could learn the skills and methods of Scouting. http://woodbadge.org/
